Reflection
My first movie is done. Hurray!!!!
I was worried I would not get to learn fast enough Premier Pro app and that I would be therefore prone to many compromises. It turned out that focusing in understanding the app’s features one by one, I succeeded to get a grasp of all necessary skills for this stage.
I am very pleased with the result in terms of concept, research & planning and editing.
In terms of things I would like to improve for my next project, I will pay more attention to the audio part of the montage:
- when having a VO placed in a part of a movie, I will make sure to choose only instrumental songs;
- in the same time, I will try to choose soundtracks more similar when one follows the other very soon; in the current experiment, I feel the shift from the “Intro” (The xx) to “Here Comes The Sun” ( The Beatles) is quite disruptive.
