A2 – 27. CR Q2 How do the elements of your production work together to create a sense of ‘branding’?

In media, branding refers to the consistent aesthetic, tone, and thematic identity that allows audiences to recognize and emotionally connect with a product or series. For my project, I constructed a cohesive brand around the tone of honesty, healing, and transformation. The documentary, social media page, and magazine article all carry this identity through shared visual and narrative elements.

Color grading and visual tone are critical to this. I used soft, natural colors and natural light in all video scenes, especially during park sequences, to evoke calmness and transparency. The fonts used across all media – clean and modern (i.e. for the documentary I used Replica for the text and Romantically Italic for the titles; for the magazine article I used Yeseva One) and consistent use of the “Trust Me…” title act as brand identifiers. Similarly, the recurring motif of “journey” is embedded in both the visual (walking scenes, time-lapse skies) and narrative structure—whether through the video montage, Instagram captions, or article headings.

My presence as both narrator and host further anchors the branding. Across all platforms, my voice—calm, empathetic, reflective—serves as a guide, reinforcing the personal nature of the brand. The social media strategy includes short clips from the documentary, quotes from the interview, and consistent hashtags (#FightBurnout, #TrustMeDoc), tying all platforms together under one cohesive identity.
