Major Task
For the major task I choose creating a documentary.
I had 2 topics in mind:
- either a documentary about the trekking trails around Alba Iulia;
- or about the benefits of mixing different types of sport in one’s weekly workout routine.
As a documentary about the trekking trails would have meant a lot of time spent outdoors for filming, I needed to abandon the idea, as I also work full time in parallel with my studies, so time is my biggest enemy right now. Not to mention the fact that the constant changing weather would have brought a big risk in not meeting the deadline for the overall project!
Hence I opted for the second idea, i.e. mixed workout routine.
At this stage I am very concerned in acquiring as many skills as possible for the creation of the documentary, considering the fact that I have zero experience in editing films and making of a montage.
Luckily, my Mom allowed me to join her at her Pilates Classes and film as much as possible in order to build my experience.
Research - documentary
I’ve got inspiration from several sport documentaries on You Tube. The one which I felt was tuning to my own style was:

Planning the preliminary Major Task (Documentary) and 2 Minor Tasks (poster & photo)
Actor: my mother, Irina Rosu
Location: LEIA (Luxury Esthetic Institute of Alba) – Pilates Studio
Timing: in order to be able to join my Mom’s Pilates Classes on Mondays and Fridays at 9 a.m. and on Wednesday at 4 p.m., I needed to ask for permission to be late at or to leave early from work .
Props: Pilates apparatuses and accessories from LEIA
Equipment: Phone – Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 (both for filming and recording the voice over) | laptop | big screen.
Task detail: short documentary about the benefits of Pilates workout + photoshooting
Apps to be used:
- Canva – for the poster
- Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop – to edit photos
- Adobe Premiere Pro – to edit films and to montage the documentary.
