The Making of the Magazine Article
Having the experience of the last year project, writing the article and formatting it for a magazine was not a big challenge.
I wrote my article in the form of an interview based on a discussion with my mother over a cup of coffee. I used the discussion also as a rehearsal for the filmed interview planned for the documentary.
Then I made a research in the business magazines from our library and scanned a selection of the articles written by my mother, especially those were she got professional recognition from the market (see below).
I prepared some crops and collages to include them in my article to set the context, and also edited one photo blurring it a lot to contrast with the original, so that I could convey the idea of the burnout effect.

The Making of the Instagram Official Page
I started this task being very confident, thinking it would be a piece of cake. Who doesn’t know these days how to set up an Instagram account and to create posts and stories with photos or reels?! Well, it turned out it was not so straightforward to administer a Business Account (chosen by me to discover the Creator tools available) compared with a Personal Account.
I struggled a bit finding out how to make use of clickable links to promote my documentary and my magazine article. I eventually found out that I could only use links into the Bio.
I could easily find out how to post a Poll (yes/ no type of questions), but I needed to research a bit to include an open kind of question to start a discussion (i.e. make the use of the Prompt option rather than Poll option). The fact that some of these options can only be created on the phone, not from the comfort of a computer, was quite annoying.
Overall I am very pleased with my Instagram Official Page. I think it complements very well my major task, the documentary, and I also learnt a lot of useful tools to promote a product or an idea.
