A2-18. Risk assessment

The risks perceived by my are listed below:

  1. finding a camera operator for shooting the interview planned with my mother, while I was supposed to be the interviewer;
  2. getting access to the Pilates studio to observe my mother’s workout;
  3. the longest rainy weather I have ever experienced during springtime, making shooting in the Citadel park more uncomfortable, especially for my mother;
  4. limited time to ensure I could learn to master well enough Premier Pro to montage the documentary – the biggest risk of all.

Mitigations thought:

  1. Being newcomer in Alba Iulia, I do not know yet many people. In case no one from my entourage could make decent use of the camera, I was prepared to kindly ask my father to travel from Bucharest to Alba Iulia to act as camera operator when needed.
  2. In case I was not going to be granted access to the Pilates studio, I kindly ask my mother to have one workout made home, based on some recorded classes.
  3. I found some more sheltered locations in the Citadel park, not ideal for following camera moves or for establishing shots with panoramas, but good enough to be matched with the script.
  4. That risk was terrifying!! There was no way mitigating it. So I simply spent many nights to follow tutorials and exercise upon their guidance.
