BRANDING
My entire Digipack revolves around the idea of fighting burnout. My project includes the following tasks:
- TV documentary – 1st episode of a series (major task)
- Instagram official page (minor task)
- Magazine article (minor task).
The 2 minor tasks are built as extensions from the major task.
The assignment of the major task I opted for specifically mentioned that the project should be a TV programme. Therefore, first thing I needed to do was to imagine a TV channel name. I came up with TV Health for which I found user name available at Instagram and I designed a logo for it.
Unfortunately, after posting and trying different settings on Instagram, my user got blocked :(. The only quick fix was to choose another user name available. My 2nd choice was not as good as the first: TV Fight burnout channel, but I needed to resume my work on the project as soon as possible.
Here is my new logo design, which can be found both on the documentary footage and on the Instagram page.

The next step was to find a name for the documentary series.
I got inspired by my preferred documentaries of all times: “Trust Me, I’m a Doctor” run by the medical journalist Michael Mosley and his team. I have always been very aligned with his educational style embedded in his show which was based on personal experiences.
I feel that this is the style which suits me best, so I convey this idea through the similarity in the title I chose:
Trust me, I’M THE SON OF A WORKAHOLIC.
I felt I needed to bring a more personal touch and turn the title into a show brand. I played with the fonts and positioning of the words, in such a way so that I could get both the informal vibe (hence the handwritten part, i.e. Romantically Italic: 59) and the rigor of experts input (Replica Bold: 86).
The result can be seen hereafter and placed both in the documentary and on Instagram (promotional poster).

NARRATIVE
My documentary includes 3 parts:
- general information about burnout (definition, statistics, legislation);
- making the link with my personal experience, seeing my mother suffering from burnout;
- a template for recovering from burnout based on my mother’s approach.
Besides its promotional objective, the instagram page offers more insight into my mother’s journey in burnout recovery, with details for some of the steps taken: physical therapy, nutrition, outdoor activities, pets and gardening. Information is offered through reels, carousel images, photos, simple posters.
The magazine article includes an interview with my mother, where I could provide more context to her burnout situation, as well as more details in how to approach the recovery.
